Shigeo Yoshihara participated in four PARALYMPIC GAMES and won four medals in two disciplines, including one GOLD. He sat down with me to talk about the tough reality of being a blind athlete, his life lessons for success and failure, advice for athletes who can see, and much more.

I have always been fascinated by a wide range of things. Whether it was trying out various instruments, from bass guitar to trombone, playing multiple sports at the same time, or exploring other endeavors like acting and directing, I could never entirely focus on a single passion. This also applies to all other aspects of my life, which led me to move around the globe and change career paths more than once. As an independent journalist, I can now combine my enthusiasm for new experiences with my love for storytelling to report on compelling real-life stories at TALES OF TOKYO.
